My First's ;)

Hi everyone! 

Since I have been very remiss and neglectful of my blog (sorry) I have decided to get back to it with a fun little tag/Q&A type post. 

I'm sure you've seen lots of these on other blogs and by your favourite YouTubers and you'll know how fun they are to watch.

Enjoy guys..... and don't judge too harshly, some of these questions are gonna be embarrassing lol.

First word: I believe my first word was Dada, as I'm sure is most people's first word. But it suited me well as I am a complete and utter Daddy's girl. :)

First teddy: I still have my first teddy and she's not a teddy per se. I got given a stuffed pink girl clown who I imaginatively called Mrs Clown. I was given her shortly after I was born by a relative and she has been through a lot. I remember when I was younger I fell and hurt my knee I made my mum put a matching plaster on Mrs Clown.... She still has the mark where the plaster was lol.

First friend: I always count my cousins my first friends because there are only 4 grandchildren on my mum's side of the family. We have always been close so they were my first experiences of friendships. But my first friend when I got to primary school was a girl called Catherine and we were always so close, so close that we would refer to each other as twins. 

First school crush: I'm not gonna say his name but there was a boy in my class who I quite liked and I think the crush started at age 9/10. He was quite dreamy looking with dark hair and he was tall and played football lol. I actually have a specific memory of school and it was Valentine's day and I was gonna make a card for him and another boy in my class embarrassed me.... :/ fun times.

First kiss: I was a late bloomer and didn't have my first kiss until I was 17, nearly 18. And you'll find out who it was with if you keep reading........ ;)

First celebrity crush: I was quite a big fan of the band S Club Juniors and I used to really fancy Calvin. At the time I was about 11/12 and he was 14/15. I thought it was meant to be but sadly it did not. Lol aw well. 

First boyfriend: Like I said with the first kiss answer, I was a late bloomer. My first kiss was with my first (and only) boyfriend, who I am still with to this day, 3 and a half years later. <3 We were set up by our friends who were dating at the time. I was constantly asking my best friend to help me find someone, because I still hadn't found someone to go to my formal. So she set me up with a guy who I hadn't met and we all went on a double date to see the most awkward movie, Get Him to the Greek. So that was an interesting day..... But the best one ever because we are still together and I'm glad I've only been out with him <3

First job: My first job was babysitting at around 15/16, then I did work experience in a primary for kids with disabilities which was so so much fun when I was 17. Last year I worked as Christmas staff in a hotel restaurant and this year I am doing full time hours in a different hotel restaurant as a placement for my uni work. 

First gig/concert: I think the first ever concert I ever went to was a S Club 7 one. I think it was their last, or one of their last tours and I went with my mum and two cousins. I thought it was so cool because I knew all the words to every song. Then I went to a Scouting for Girls gig when they were starting to be popular when I was maybe 15, I can't exactly remember. 

First car: Even though I am 21 I only passed my driving test in August 2013, a couple of weeks after my birthday, so I haven't been driving for very long. At the minute I share the car with my mum and brother which is VW Golf which I absolutely love. But I am currently trying to save up for my own car, which will hopefully be a Skoda Citigo.

All about moi.....( and i do mean ALL) ;)

Hey everyone. I know i've been very very absent from this blog but I am trying to get back to it. So as a treat here's an uber loooong post all about moi. Enjoy. 

Me... 
Do you have any siblings?
 I do indeed. I have one brother called Sean and he is 17. Sometimes I think it would have been more fun to have another sibling but we're very close now which I'm very grateful for :)

How old are you? 
I am 21 and my birthday is 8th August, so I'm 21 and two weeks old lol

What's your height? 
Ummmm I don't know exactly but i think i'm 5ft 5/6 but i'm not certain. Im not short but my bf likes to tell me i am. 

What's your top/dress size? 
I am a curvaceous size 16 lol

Do you have any diet plans/tips? 
I just try to eat everything in moderation and not deprive myself

Do you workout?
 I didn't for ages but recently i'm getting back into swimming to excersise. I love it :)

Do you have any pets? 
Unfortunately no. My parents didn't allow pets because they didn't think we could be trusted to look after them, but i would love a pug when i have my own house


What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? 
Just the usual girly stuff, going shopping, seeing my friends, spending time with my boyfriend. Stuff like that. LOL. My life isn't very exotic

Who inspires you? 
 My family members, in particular my mum and dad. They work so hard to provide us with a good life and I have never once heard them have an argument. I hope my relationship stays as loving as theirs has over 22 years of marriage <3

What do you feel is your greatest achievment?
 There are a few things. I felt soo proud of myself when i did well enough in my A Levels to get into university. Then yesterday I felt so chuffed cus i passed my driving test, first time too. Oh yeah lol. I'm sure my greatest achievement will be getting my degree. 

What do you value most in life? 
Everything. My family and my friends. You never know what day's gonna be your last and its important to always find the good in everyday you're given. 

What do you do? 
I currently study at the University of Ulster, Coleraine and im a third year. :)

What is your dream job? 
 My absolute dream dream dream job would be to work as a hotel wedding coordinator at top hotels in Ireland. I am a tad obsessed with weddings and i would love to be part of making someone's special day absolutely perfect. :)

What did you take for your GCSE'S and A Levels
 For my GCSE's i did all the usual stuff like maths english etc etc. Then for my A Levels i did French, Religion and English literature, and i rather enjoyed them.
 
Do you make good grades? 
Yeah i make reasonably good grades. I passed all 10 of my GCSE subjects then for my A Levels i got 2 B's and a C. And in any university work since then I'm averaging a 2:1/2:2, so im doing pretty well :)

What is your ethnicity? 
I am 100% Irish, but it would be cool to say I was like half french or italian or something.
 
Do you want to get married later on in life? 
I really really do. I am such a girly girl that I have always imagined my wedding day. When i was little my barbies and ken doll got married in so many different scenarios that it would have confused everyone. And obviously whenever you reach a certain age and you're in a loving relationship you'd love it if marriage was the ultimate goal. But we'll wait and see on that issue ;)

Do you have any phobias? 
Oh god yes. I am deathly afraid of spiders. If i see one i get shivers up my spine. If i have to catch a particularly big one and kill it, i nearly have a panic attack. Like its a proper phobia. They just freak me out. Urgh yuck :(

Have you ever had a near death experience? 
Thank god i have not. I would not particularly want to go through something like that but i suppose it would give me a deeper respect for my life and stuff, but mostly i think it would terrify me enough that i wouldn't even want to leave the house. 

Do you get mad easily?  
I wouldn't say i get mad easily. Its more like........ I get frustrated easily. Then if everyone winds me up then i do get a teeny tiny bit mad. But mostly I'm a nice cheerful bubbly person :D

Where have you been on holiday & where was the best? 
Ooooooh. This is a test of my memory lol. As long as i can remember my mum and dad have taken us on summer holidays, particularly with our two cousins cus they are around our age and it was more fun. We've been to Disneyland Paris, Austria, Portugal, Canary Islands,  Centre Parcs in England..... There's been so many. I think my favourite holiday was Port Aventura in Salou with my mum dad bro and my two cousins. It was gorgeous weather and it was soo fun getting to explore the theme park everyday and going on new rides. :D

Favourite childhood memory?  
Wayyyy too many to choose from to be honest.   

Beauty/Shopping... 

Heels or flats?

Flats mostly but wedges are fun for daytime to change it up :) 

Favourite moisturiser? 
Umm bit of a bad thing to admit but i don't really use moisturiser lol

Where do you buy most of your clothes from? 
Mostly from Primark, H&M and New Look...... i do love a bargain lol

Favourite Shop? 
 Probably Primark or New Look. I cant decideeeee
 
Favourite makeup brand? 
Defo Rimmel 

Favourite nail polish brand? 
I love love love Barry M nail polishes, in particular their Jelly Nails range.  

What was your first makeup item? 
I think my first proper make up item was a foundation from Natural collection, when their products weren't the best, and it was completely the wrong colour for me. Lol i looked like a ghost lol

If you had your own makeup line what would you call it? 
It would be called FancyFrenchie and the packaging would be pink with little eiffel towers on it. 

What are you into the most, if you HAD to choose one..Jewellery, Makeup, Shoes, Clothes? 
I think i'd chose make up. Because when your face is done, you are ready to face the world and you could always customise your clothes to update them :)

What is your favourite shoe store? 
Hmmmm i would love to own a pair of Kurt Geiger heels but for the moment my measly little budget only stretches to New Look heels, but they are awesome :)

At what age did you start wearing makeup? 
 I'm pretty sure i put off wearing make up for as soon as possible. I think i was about 14/15 when i started noticing other girls in my class wearing makeup and i thought it looked pretty but I didn't properly learn how to apply it and everything until i was about 16/17. 

Do you wear falsies? If so which brand? 
Not on an everyday basis because they are too fiddly lol. But i do trust the eylure ones because they dont look ridiculous and they are very natural and easy to apply. 

Lipgloss or mascara? 
Mascara..... lipgloss makes my lips feel too sticky :/

Whats your worst shopping habit? 
Probably that i buy things in sales, not because i will actually wear them but because i think they are pretty lol

Do you have a signature scent? 
Yes, my boyfriend got me Vera Wang Floral Rush for our anniversary and i love it. Its so feminine and a gorgeous everyday scent. 

How do you take care of your hair? 
I dont really do an awful lot to my hair. I just wash it with Pantene shampoo and condition it with TreSemme with argan oil, because my hair gets very dry at the ends. 

Whats the colour of your natural hair? 
My hair is a natural brown with occasional ginger highlights. I have never once dyed my hair. :)

What are your views on plastic surgery? 
This is a subject that can be really controversial. I think its a great invention for people who have been in car accidents and who need reconstructive sugery, it gives people back their confidence. But i definitely don't agree with people like Heidi Montag who just take the mick and become like a cartoon character. But its completely up to you what your view is. I personally would never get anything done. I wanna grow old gracefully :) 

If makeup somehow wasn't invented what would you replace it with? 
I really don't know. Probably with clothes, then i could just distract from my bare face with my awesome outfit lol

Do you bite your nails? 
I used to allllll the time when i was younger. Now i don't really do it, unless im nervous or anxious about something. 


Other/Random 

Would you rather grow a beard or go bald? 

Hmmmm I would rather go bald. Then i could have fun with loads of different wigs, like Kim K did on an episode of KUWTK. Lol that could be fun.

If you could know the date you were going to die, would you want to know? 
In some ways yeah, cus then i'd be able to get all my stuff in order, travel and go round to everyone i know and tell them how much i love and appreciate them. But i wouldn't wanna know how i was gonna die. 

Which five male celebs would be on your "list"? 
Ooooooooh. Right i have to think carefully about this......

1. Liam Hemsworth - lets face it, him and miley won't last and i will be there with open arms lol

2. Jamie Laing - He's such a cutie

3. Bradley Cooper - nuff said lol

4. Ed Sheeran - He could serenade me every night

5. And last but not least i'd have my actual BF - Cus he's awesome and i've got him already so its perfect. He's a celeb to me, my VIP <3

If you only had 24 hours to live how would you spend it? 
Having a massive party in a marquee with everyone i know, dancing with a good band. Having a BBQ dinner and just enjoying my last hours. 

Do you have a favourite book? 
Not really but i do really love all the Harry Potter books.
 
Do you watch any american tv, if so what is your favourite? 

I think it would have to be KUWTK, just because they are ridiculous and some of the antics which go on are insane lol

What is your favourite type of sandwhich? 
Cheese and ham lol. Plain and simple
 
What is your favourite reality tv show? 
My fave reality show is Don't tell the bride. I love watching it because some of the grooms get things spectacularly wrong. But i do not think men should ever EVER pick your wedding dress. It's not right lol. If it was my wedding, i'd have a fit. I'd be a bit of a control freak lol. 

What wesbite do you visit the most besides youtube, blogger & facebook? 
Probably online shops lol. Its a problem lol

Who is your favourite blogger? 
Its a tie between Zoella and Sprinkle of Glitter. I love them both lol

Who is your favourite makeup guru? 
Do I have to pick just one?? Probably Fleur De Force but i love Louise and Zoe's channels as well :)

What is your fave style to decorate your bedroom, chic, modern, vintage..etc? 
My bedroom at the mo isn't great looking but in future i want to decorate my room in a romantic vintage theme, with lots of cream and flowers and romantic lighting.

What is your favourite disney film? 
You have no idea how difficult this is to choose for me, but if i absolutely had to, i'd pick....... Beauty and the Beast. 

Whats your favourite desert? 
Lemon meringue pie. MMMMMMMMMM

Do you like swimming? 
I absolutely love it. I feel like a little fish when i swim. 

Do you drink juice? 
Not a lot. I'd prefer to drink water.  

Do you eat fries with a fork? 
Actually no. I prefer to pick them up with my fingers. 

Do you like cookies? 
Mmmmhmmmm......... Im a cookie monster!!

If you could move anywhere, where would it be? 
Paris, id love to live there <3

Sweet :)

If you had to describe yourself as a fruit, what fruit would you be? 
I don't really know. :/

Favourite flower? 
Lilies, gerberas and roses. Awwww prettiful lol

Favourite colour? 
It's a toss up between purple and blue :)

Do you drink energy drinks? 
Not really, i don't really like the taste of them and they make me feel really hyper. 

Do you drink coffee? 
Nope, don't like the taste. urgh yucky :( 

If you could have a dinner party with 5 celebrities, dead or alive, who would you invite? 
I would choose Audrey Hepburn, Jim Parsons, JK Rowling, Emma Watson and Robert Downey JR.

My Most Worn Summer Things

Hey Guys,

Welcome to my most worn summer things tag!
I'm going to make a youtube video on this soon, if you want to see more of these items, but here we go.....

My Most Worn Nail Polish

My favourite summer nail polish has been this gorgeous aqua green/blue from Rimmel. It's called Sky High no 825. I have absolutely loved it on and when I bought it I was like meh. But on, it is a really lovely summery colour which lifts my mood and goes with pretty much anything. Really recommend it :)

My Most Worn Scent 

As you can see I've used quite a bit of this perfume. This was given to me, along with a matching body spray by my boyfriend's mum. It was really nice of her to get me it. Its a really nice, fruity scent from Avon and it's been perfect for summer.

My Most Worn Hair Product

This is the TreSemme heat defence spray and I haven't used this all summer, because I don't generally like to use a lot of product in my hair as it is extremely thick (what a pain!) But I have definitely noticed an improvement in the condition of my hair since I've used it, as it makes it a lot silkier and manageable.

My Most Worn Handbag

This handbag is a year long staple for me! Lol I really can't remember how long I've had it, but it's been perfect for nights out, shopping days, hanging out with friends for years. I occasionally shorten the strap by folding it over and keeping it inside the bag. It does the job, holds quite a lot of stuff, goes with everything, so maybe when I get older I'll get a similar one, like maybe a Chanel..... Hmm wishful thinking. But I really think every girl should have one staple black handbag that can be used day or night. 

My Most Worn Shoes

Now I don't know where you are from, but if you're from Ireland you will know that our summer has been virtually NON-existent!! Haha. So unfortunately my most worn shoes have been plain black pumps from Primark lol. That being said, they go with everything, are comfy and most importantly they shield my little feetsies from the disappointing Irish weather. Aw well, at least they have a pretty bow. :)

My Most Worn Accessory

I absolutely loooovvvveeee this locket I got from my aunt and uncle for my birthday. It's absolutely gorgeous and its a nice little decorative piece which looks good with a white peasant top which I'm wearing today, or a plain black tee, or a nice summery dress. And I love the fact that it has the letter L on it. Means it shouldn't ever get lost haha. I just think it's really cute.

My Most Worn Clothing Item

This was a hard one, because I don't really have just one favourite item of clothing, so for this  Q I picked my favourite multicoloured flowery scarf, which I believe I got in New Look about three years ago. Lol I kind of cheated, but I wear this absolutely every day, and this is the type of scarf that you can fold out and wear as a shawl too, so it's multi-functional. :)

My Most Worn Foundation

I absolutely love this Rimmel Stay Matte foundation. I don't know why exactly but I feel like it just wakes my skin up, and my face feels less tired after I've applied it. I think its because it has cucumber in its formulation. I just really like this and it'll be a good one for when I'm back at uni and I'll need to look more awake. 

My Most Worn Blush/Bronzer

I never actually use bronzer, as I feel with me being so pale it will just look like big muddy streaks on my face. So I go with a nice blusher. I really really like this blusher, as it gives me more of a glow, rather than looking like pink blobs on my cheeks. I do love a Rimmel product, and I fell in love with the packaging and the design, before I had even tried the product. However it hasn't let me down. :D

My Most Worn Lip Product

This is the first lipstick I've even dared to wear in such a long time. I had a bad experience with a red lipstick, which made me look like a child with melted crayon on its face. NOT a good look. However I've really loved this TopShop lipstick and it's called Oh La La, haha awesome! It looks red in the picture but in real life its more of orangey/coral colour and its a bit different for me. Lol being adventurous! And I really like the packaging, it's quite cute. I would definitely recommend the TopShop make up line. 

My Most Worn Mascara

This mascara is, yup you've guessed it, a Rimmel product! Lol, I always go for Rimmel, just because it's good value for money and it's always worked for me, so why change? It just makes my lashes look really long and full as well, and it's been my favourite for a good while now, but I need to look into getting a new one soon. 

My Most Worn Eye shadow

I have actually been loving this Avon palette all summer long. I feel like the colours are very pigmented but you can build them up to get your desired colour. They are suitable for day and night. My favourite combination are the nude colour and the brown. It isn't too dark, but also gives definition to your eyes.

The Rain's In Spain........ No, It's in Belfast

Hey Everyone.........

I know this may seem like a strange post but if you are from Belfast or that sort of area you will know what I am talking about......

Rain........

Plink, plink, plink............

Often I am glad to see a bit of rain. It can be relaxing, soothing and when I'm indoors with a cup of tea and a blanket, it's nice to look out and watch it.




Recently though, the rain has been insane!! 
Never ending, persistant, thundery showers......
It just has not been very pleasant at all!

You know when you're younger, and you get to put on your wellies, coat and you have a cute little umbrella, the rain seems sooo much more fun.

Splashing around in the puddles, twirling the unbrella so all the glistening raindrops seem to sparkle as they fall off.
Then we had the joy of trying to spot a rainbow after a rain shower, looking for that colourful stripe in the sky....

As children we seem to be a lot happier with the simpler things in life. As we age and get older we fail to appreciate the smaller things in life....







So I shall leave you with this thought.....

Next time the rain starts, don't just sit inside sulking at the bad weather. Slip on those wellies go outside and feel like a child again :)

A Lil' Bit About Moi :)

Hey Everyone

Bienvenue! Soo you've found my blog; what clever people you are teehee.

Basically this blog post is an introduction to me, my interests, my life and what this blog is gonna be used for, so here goes.....

Hey girls and guys,
My name is Louise, I am 20 years old and I am a student.

This is a picture of me with my parents and my little brother, but more on them later.










You're a student I hear you cry? 
Why indeedly I am. I am currently enrolled at the University of Ulster, Coleraine and i absolutely adore it. I study International Travel and Tourism Management with French and this September I will be entering into my second year.

Its a great course and I've met some absolutely lovely, friendly people so I shall be updating you all about university life as this year progresses.

As you saw above I currently live at home with my delightful, supportive parents and my younger brother Sean. I have a wonderful supportive family unit, and we all get on really well, which I find can be rare in this modern age in which we live. 
Our favourite thing to do together as a family is go to the cinema, as we don't have to talk to one another (noo I'm kidding) 
My dad has brought me to the cinema since before i can remember which is probably why, even at 20 years of age, I still absolutely adore Disney movies.
"But everyone enjoys a good Disney film!"
Not quite like me lol. 
If I'm bored or sick or upset, the first thing I do is watch a Disney movie. It doesn't matter which one, because they all leave me feeling as happy as Larry. 

Dunno who Larry is exactly, but he must be a nice person if people have his name in an expression. I should google that.........

Sorry guys, where was I? 

Oh yeah being happy. 
I'm generally quite a happy friendly person. My boyfriend wouldn't agree though.

His name is Aaron and we have been together for two years and a month today. Lol how time flies. He is sooo supportive and whenever I am homesick when I'm at uni, I know he's just a phone-call away. 

I know people must be thinking, "Why did you keep going out with him when you were going away to university? That's the time when you should be spreading your wings, having fun, being single" I don't mind. I love him to absolute pieces and I would not change one thing about our relationship. We have matured together and he knows he can trust me when I'm away.

Is there anything else I can babble about......?

Oh yeah, interests. 
Like any girl I love shopping, meeting up with friends, spending time with my boyfriend, making youtube videos and generally just doing things any other 20 year old girl would do.

I think that's all I have to say for now guys, I didn't wanna bore you with my first post, but I hope you all stick around for more interesting things, and I will talk to you all soon.
